Terms and Conditions

Last updated 1 October 2026

These terms cover DisplayPilot, the macOS app (free and Pro), and this website. DisplayPilot is made and sold by Praveen Kumar, an independent developer based in India (“we”, “us”). By downloading, buying or using DisplayPilot, you agree to these terms.

Who you're buying from

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy DisplayPilot Pro, Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase itself, alongside these terms.

Free and Pro

Your license

When you buy Pro, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DisplayPilot Pro on Macs you own or control. Your license code is for you, so please don't share, sell or publish it. DisplayPilot itself stays ours: buying Pro gives you the right to use it, not ownership of the software.

You agree not to:

We may revoke a license code that has been refunded, charged back, shared publicly or obtained fraudulently.

Updates

Pro includes the Pro features we add in future versions. We may change, improve or remove features over time, and we can't promise that every future version will support every Mac or macOS release.

What DisplayPilot can and can't change

DisplayPilot uses only Apple's public APIs. macOS doesn't let apps change some display settings, such as rotation, HDR or switching off a single display, so DisplayPilot reports these instead of applying them. Results can also depend on your Mac, displays, cables and docks.

Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, DisplayPilot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise that it will be error-free or work with every display setup.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to DisplayPilot is limited to the amount you paid for DisplayPilot Pro. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying Pro. See our Refund Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using DisplayPilot after a change, the updated terms apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer, this doesn't take away the protection of mandatory laws in the country where you live.
